Steve Klar
Steve Klar is the president and principal business consultant at Klar IT Services in San Antonio, Texas. Steve was born and raised in the Alamo city and has extensive experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry. After obtaining a BBA in Marketing in 1985, he returned to UTSA and graduated with a second BBA in Information Systems in 1988. Steve was then employed by various IT companies in the Dallas and Austin areas providing his expert skills in technical support and sales.
Returning to his hometown San Antonio in 1994, Steve worked for Epson America as a field representative providing marketing, technical support and training for store personnel on all things Epson. At the same time Steve helped start a business with his dad and used the skills he mastered to launch his own computer consulting company a short time later.
Steve has built a substantial client base concentrating on the small office, home office and individual user. He has continued his education knowing how crucial it is to stay on top of an industry that sees rapid changes. Steve sought additional training in 1998 from the SMU School of Engineering graduating with a certification in networking and subsequently becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional, a Microsoft Partner in 2004 and in 2011 a Microsoft Action Pack Subscriber, which has allowed Steve to install and test the latest software technologies Microsoft has to offer.
Steve knows the future of IT is rapidly expanding into the smart phone/mobile device, cloud computing and social networking arenas. He is acquiring continued skills in Apple, Android and other smart device operating systems.
When Steve isn't keeping himself up to date with the latest in technology, he enjoys playing and teaching tennis, golfing, volunteering and spending time out-of-doors with his family and friends.
